JG Summit’s IT firm, i-Tech Global Business Solutions, launches its new website

Founded in 2010 as the business process outsourcing arm of JG Summit Holdings, i-Tech Global Business Solutions has continuously evolved and refined its services over the years. It became known for its expertise in providing quality IT-managed services and helpdesk support and, more recently, as a complete solutions provider and IT reseller for the parent conglomerate as well as external customers.

Mags Castro, i-Tech’s general manager, says that most of the country’s medium and large companies outsource their IT requirements. Through the website, iTech is publicly making it known that it can provide IT services to almost all industries. According to Castro, in this arena, i-Tech will set itself apart by “providing competitively priced, customer-centric, and innovative IT services and solutions.”

i-Tech started providing Helpdesk and Desktop Support to JG Summit Holdings and its Strategic Business Units in March 2014. From 8,037 endpoints and 190 sites nationwide, it has grown to 11,600 endpoints in 238 user locations, a 5-year growth of 45% and 25% respectively.

Another big milestone for the company happened in 2016, when it began partnering with global IT leaders to add to its product and service portfolio. “Our first partnership was with Avaya Inc., a worldwide leader in contact center solutions and unified communications, as a reseller and service implementation partner in the Philippines,” says Castro. Within the JG Summit conglomerate, iTech manages and provides support for the Avaya telephony systems of URC, Aspen Business Solutions, Robinsons Land, Robinsons Bank, and the JG Summit Petrochemicals Group.

A GROWING NETWORK

According to Castro, another six leading IT firms, each with its own area of expertise, have partnered with i-Tech to date: “These are Salesforce, the leading Customer Relationship Management solutions provider; HP Aruba for network and infrastructure solutions; UiPath, for Robotic Process Automation; Trend Micro for endpoint security protection; Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud hosting; and SAS for advanced and predictive analytics and data management.”

Since i-Tech’s launch nine years ago, its workforce has grown 163%, serving a likewise expanding network of clients. Besides servicing the JG Summit conglomerate, i-Tech has fulfilled the IT requirements of companies such as Paloo Financing, Oriente Express Techsystem Corp., and Tupperware Brands Philippines.
