Go Rewards, the retail loyalty program of the Gokongwei Group, has partnered with UnionBank of the Philippines to launch the UnionBank Go Rewards Visa Credit Card, a comprehensive credit and loyalty rewards card designed to provide customers at Robinsons Retail establishments with an enhanced shopping experience.
Launched on June 27, 2023, at Robinsons Magnolia in Quezon City, the all-in-one credit and rewards card simplifies and accelerates the accumulation of Go Rewards points. With either the UnionBank Go Rewards Gold or Platinum Visa credit cards, shoppers easily earn 1 point for every 200 pesos spent at any establishment, while Go Rewards Platinum cardholders are entitled to an even faster earning rate of 1 point for every 100 pesos spent exclusively at Robinsons Retail stores. Also worth noting is that the earned points do not expire as long as the Go Rewards account remains active.

The accumulated Go Rewards points can then be redeemed for a variety of products, services, and exclusive promos from a wide variety of Go Rewards partners. Points can also be used as payment at Robinsons Retail stores, with each point equivalent to one peso. Go Rewards Gold and Platinum cardholders are eligible for welcome gifts of 3,000 and 5,000 points, respectively, upon meeting the minimum spend requirement.
Upon approval of their UnionBank Go Rewards Visa card application, Go Rewards Gold and Platinum credit cardholders will receive an automatic upgrade to Go Rewards Black membership, granting access to exclusive perks such as use of the dedicated Black Member lane at Shopwise and The Marketplace, complimentary parking at selected branches of the said establishments, and early notice on deals.
At the launch event, Cindy Deng, CEO of Go Rewards, highlighted the importance of exceeding customer expectations and staying ahead of the business curve through innovation, and this is addressed with the new credit card. “Through this powerful collaboration with UnionBank, we have developed a unique all-in-one credit card and loyalty program that enhances and elevates your shopping experience,” said Deng.
When they receive and activate their UnionBank Go Rewards Visa Credit Card, cardholders can immediately earn points at any shopping location and maximize their earn rate by shopping at over 2,000 Robinsons Retail stores nationwide, including Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Appliances, Southstar Drug, and more.
Aside from earning rewards points, UnionBank Go Rewards Visa Credit Card holders also receive priority access to sales at various Robinsons Retail banners, including Toys R’ Us, True Value, No Brand, and Pet Lovers Centre.
The Go Rewards Gold and Platinum Visa Credit Cards can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, ensuring the opportunity to earn rewards points during every shopping trip. Points are automatically credited to the customer’s Go Rewards account monthly, without any limitations on the amount that can be earned.
