JG Summit CIO Carlos Santos Joins an Elite Group of Senior Tech Executives

Santos has earned a proud spot on the prestigious CIO75 ASEAN list

Carlos “Caloi” Santos, vice president for Corporate Services and chief information officer of JG Summit Holdings, has joined an elite circle of senior technology officers across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, having been included on this year’s prestigious CIO75 ASEAN list.

Presented by CIO magazine, which is part of the Boston-based International Data Group's enterprise publications portfolio, CIO75 ASEAN is billed as the leading awards program for technology leaders in the region. The winners were announced at an online awarding ceremony held on December 1, 2021.

According to James Henderson, CIO editorial director for Asia-Pacific and Middle East, the CIO75 recognition is “a mark of excellence” within the industry, honoring senior tech executives who are “driving innovation, strengthening resiliency, and influencing rapid change.”

As JG Summit’s CIO, Santos leads the overall strategy, implementation, and operations of the conglomerate’s IT group. Santos has been deeply involved in JG Summit’s ongoing digital transformation, leading the adoption and migration to a cloud platform and the implementation of cloud-based collaboration, productivity, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions across the conglomerate's business units.

During the course of the year, Santos has overseen the completion of the company’s Data Center Rationalization Project, the implementation of a software-defined Wide Area Network, the deployment of the SAP S/4HANA business suite ERP platform across JG Summit Holdings and its affiliate Aspen Business Solutions, and the adoption of the digital workplace program.

The winners of this year’s CIO75 were chosen from a field of more than 150 candidates from eight markets, namely Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Congratulations, Caloi, and to all the other winners.
